What is Videolottery or VLT?

VIDEOLOTTERY and not SLOT MACHINE
First of all we have to say that Videolottery is a sinonym of VLT, like VLT is the sinonym of Video Lottery; this term means: Video Lottery Terminal. It's an evolution, at least in Italy, of slot machine's tools used in different public places, where is practiced the game with cash payout. The important difference between Slot Machine and VLT is that in the Slot Machine the game is physical inside the tool, upload on an hardware called Game Card . In the VLT the game is virtual inside the tool, positionated on a remote server, so it's online. The slot machine's tools have got their own Game Card and the user's action is totally managed by the tool. The Video Lottery, or VLT that are totally managed by a online server are not called Game Cards, but Game Platforms. The last one is abilitated to manage a lot if tools for more games. And also, we can say that the " heart " of the VLT is online and the Video Lottery Terminal is used to menage the user's action, linked to Internet, with the VLT. |
